The real money from writing articles might involve the Copyright office. Simply write a whole stack of articles, submit them to the Copyright office as a compilation ($30), then submit to article directories with your terms — that the resource box must be included and links should be activated, etc.
Then wait for webmasters to ignore your terms and litigate… or threaten to and settle for $1,000-$5,000 per infraction.
I’m not sure you could use a pre-paid legal service for something like that, but if they’ll do it, you’re only down $20 a month or so for your legal bills too.
Just a thought I had when considering how the RIAA operates.
