Getting 'er Done
After a lull in productivity, suddenly I'm on a roll, finishing my work in progress, and adding features to MapleMysteries.ca this week.
Last night I finished my work in progress. It's been ongoing since April. That's the longest it's ever taken me to finish a book, possibly because rather than outlining and planning, I pantsed this one.
It was an interesting change, and one that made me work harder than I'm accustomed to, since I kept inventing new tortures for my protagonist and friends to cope with.
But, now it's done.
I've got a partially outlined middle grade ecological adventure novel in the queue next, and then the third instalment of my cozy mystery series.
And, after wanting to create a wishlist feature on MapleMysteries for a while -- I am not enjoying my handwritten list of books to search for at thrift shops and second-hand bookstores-- I finally got an early version of that working too. It just stores locally, so it's not a transferrable list, but I mostly wanted to print it anyway, so this suits me fine until later this winter when I feel like creating a database-run account system.
Now I'm off to go book shopping with my new wishlist. Plus pick up salt for the water softener, and see my friends quits at a quilt show.
Oh what an exciting life I lead.
