George Hamilton Teed (December 9, 1886 – December 24, 1938) was a Canadian author who also penned under the pseudonyms G. H. Teed, Hamilton Teed, Louis Brittany, Peter Kingsland, and Desmond Reid. Born in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Teed specialized in adventure and detective fiction, but also dabbled in science fiction and occasional romance. He’s best known for his Sexton Blake series, a popular fictional British detective who graced various publications throughout the early 20th century. Teed wrote nearly three hundred Blake tales, more than any other author, and his creations and writings are considered “the best in Blake history before World War II.”
