Seán Haldane was a British, Irish, and Canadian citizen, known for his work as a neuropsychologist, poet, and novelist. He was born in Sussex, England, and grew up in Northern Ireland, later living between the UK and Canada. Haldane authored several books, including the crime novel "The Devil's Making," which won the Arthur Ellis Award for Best Crime Novel in 2014. He was also a consultant clinical neuropsychologist in the NHS and worked as a psychotherapist and small press publisher.
